Responsibilities may include:
- Delivery of spiritual services to patients and their loved ones.
- Coordinate and implement all activities of the ViaQuest Hospice spiritual services program.
- Participate in patient conference by exploring and assessing the potential spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Perform occasional liturgical assignments such as monthly memorial services with employees.
- Conduct and make arrangements for funeral or memorial service as needed.
- Arrange for on-call availability of chaplaincy services.
Requirements for this position include:
- Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology or appropriate certification in hospital or pastoral ministry.
- Experience working with patients and families dealing with illness, loss and grief.
- Demonstrates ability to be open, sensitive, flexible and ecumenical.
